What Happens at a Private Diamond Appointment
You meet Jay. Not a counter associate, not someone who's been on the job six months. Jay has been buying and selling diamonds since the early 90s, before lab-grown diamonds were even a commercial category that most jewelers carried.
The appointment runs about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on what you're looking for. We pull stones from inventory, put them under the loupe with you, and you actually compare. Color grades next to each other. Clarity differences you can see for yourself. Cut quality and what makes one stone return light better than the one sitting next to it that costs less.
You learn what changes the price. You learn what doesn't. By the end, you know if you're paying for the diamond or someone's rent on retail square footage.
Then, if you want to buy, you buy at wholesale. If you want to think about it, you think about it. Nobody calls you on Wednesday asking if you've made a decision.

This is most of our calendar. Custom or ready-to-modify engagement rings in natural or lab-grown, built around the stone you actually want. We start with the diamond. Setting comes second.
Loose Diamonds
Loose diamonds, GIA or AGS certified, sitting on the desk in front of you. You see the inclusions. You see how the cut performs. You compare two stones; the salesman at Zales would tell you they look identical, and then you discover one is two thousand dollars cheaper for a reason.
Diamond Crosses
Crosses mostly come up as anniversary and milestone gifts. We have ready stock plus custom options if you want a specific stone count or size.
Diamond Studs
Studs are the easiest wholesale win. Same diamond stud earrings, the chains are in the case, except we're not paying for the case. Bigger carat weight for the same money, in either natural or lab-grown.
Tennis Bracelets and Tennis Necklaces
Tennis pieces have been the surprise category of the last 18 months. Most of our Woodlands requests have been 5- to 10-carat total-weight lab-grown tennis bracelets, in 14k or 18k. Sticker prices at retail on the same thing run 3x what we quote.
Custom Jewelry
For when you can't find it anywhere. Custom design is sketches first, CAD second, wax model third, and then we set the stones. Two to three weeks from start to finish for most pieces. Longer if it's a complex setting.
